Sharjah: In just ten minutes, a Malayalee student broke three world records by missing the names of 195 capitals and the official currencies of their respective countries. Amarnath Srinivasan, a sixth-grade student at the Sharjah-based English School, has been inducted into the India Book of Records, the International Book of Records and the Gujarat-based OMG Book of Records.

Amarnath remembers the names of 206 countries of the world, their capitals and their currencies. Amarnath's focus on general knowledge and world information from an early age led him to present the names of the capitals and currencies of so many countries before the jury in 10 minutes and seven seconds.

Amarnath had won prizes in general knowledge examinations from Class III. The awards have been in place since last year. The parents said they were proud of their son's achievement. Amarnath is the son of Sreevatsan and Saritha, a native of Mayyanur, Vadakara, Kozhikode.
