TEN PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DECLARED DECEASED AFTER A TOURIST BOAT WENT MISSING IN JAPAN

According to the Japan Coast Guard, at least ten persons were murdered after a tourist boat went missing off the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. The search for the remaining 16 people on board the Kazu 1 vessel is still ongoing in the freezing waters, according to officials. Contact was lost with the boat at 13:15 local time (04:15 GMT) on Saturday after it reported taking on water. The Kazu 1 was thought to be on a three-hour sightseeing tour of the Shiretoko Peninsula.The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and boat tours are popular among tourists wanting to see whales, sea lions, and brown bears on the rocky shores.
