Abu Dhabi:  The UAE has announced a new plan to intensify repatriation in the private sector. The target is to implement 2% indigenization per year and increase it to 10% by 2026. In the first phase, the cabinet has decided to repatriate 2% of the specialist jobs in the company which has more than 50 employees.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted this. It also offered financial assistance to the private sector in cooperation with repatriation.

Last year, another national plan was announced to increase the number of natives working in the private sector from 2% to 10%. Apart from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman, as the UAE intensifies its repatriation, Indians, the largest expatriate community working in these countries, will be particularly affected by the Keralites.
