Kuwait City: A new platform is coming up to explain the situation of those who remain in the country in violation of residency law. It is estimated that there are tens of thousands of residency offenders in the country. According to sources, an agreement has been reached between the Home Ministry and the Manpower Authority to start the system. The coordination meeting was attended by Interior Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al Nawaf, Minister of Justice Jamal Al Jalawi and other leaders in the labor sector.

The meeting was convened to discuss the file on violations by private sector workers and the mechanisms for achieving market quality. The phase of preparation of a temporary plan (special platform) to address the situation of residency offenders working only in the private sector has begun.

Its operation has been given the green light. Sources said that in case the employer does not renew the residency or the employer terminates their projects, the target groups will include offenders and other categories that will be disclosed after completion of the course.
