PROHIBITION ON SEIZING VEHICLES PARKED ILLEGALLY IN PUBLIC PLACES IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Order to locate automobiles that are parked in public spaces in violation of the rules. The Kuwait Municipality's Director General, Ahmed Al Manfouhi, issued a circular in this regard. The vehicles will be auctioned three months from now, according to the circular. In a circular, Al-Manfouhi stated he had seen certain mobile vehicles parked in regions where the Ministry of Commerce and Industry had not issued a licence. Traffic congestion arises as a result.


Such tendencies are troubling people in residential areas. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has directed that legal action be taken in accordance with Article 6 of Resolution No. 30 of 2021 regarding the seizure of mobile vehicles parked in unlicensed areas. Vehicles so detected will be alerted first. Failure to do so within 24 hours will result in seizure and transfer to a designated location.
