UNION COOP COMES UP WITH NEW PLAN TO REDUCE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BAGS

Dubai: Union Coop has announced that a new initiative to reduce the use of single-use plastic bags will begin on Friday, July 1. Such a project is being implemented in accordance with the guidelines announced by the Dubai Executive Council with the aim of protecting the sustainability of nature and reducing the excessive use of plastic.


"The Union COPE is committed to supporting the vision of the UAE leadership to gradually create a sustainable environment and to make their own contribution to it," said Dr. Coop, Director, UnionCop Happiness and Marketing. Suhail Al Boutaki said. 

He said that when the decision to reduce the use of plastic bags is implemented today, it will bring about a positive change in the behavior of the people and help reduce the overuse of plastic.
