REASON FOR FAMILY VISIT VISA SUSPENSION

Kuwait City: As 20,000 expats breached visit visas, the residence affairs departments entirely halted family visit visas and only limited visas were provided by the undersecretary of the residence sector and the general director of residence affairs and his assistant. They came to visit and did not go or neglected to leave after their stay was over.


The First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior are in charge of reopening the family visit visa. As a result, it is unclear when the visas will be reopened. Commercial visit visas are still being issued. 

The Residence Affairs department released a circular on the issuance of new visas for domestic workers who have lost their original visas by utilising the PF7 option (reissuing) in the visa issuing system without cancelling previous visas until they expire in the computer system.
