111 VIOLATIONS OF ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS FOUND IN KUWAIT IN 11 DAYS

Kuwait City: The Environment Public Authority has announced that 111 violations of environmental laws have been recorded within 11 days of launching a campaign to monitor violations in desert areas. The authority noted that between August 14 and 25, 107 warnings were issued for violations of Article 41 of the Environment Act. It prohibits exploitation of agricultural land or destruction of vegetation. Violation of Article 41 of the Environmental Law carries a minimum fine of 250 dinars. It was checked whether the environmental laws were being followed and whether waste was being dumped in non-permissible places.
