KUWAIT MUNCIPALITY TERMINATED 132 EXPATRIATES

Kuwait City: The Director of Kuwait Municipality, Ahmad Al Manfouhi, made the decision to terminate the employment of 132 expats from a variety of sectors in response to orders from the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Rana Al Faris. There are 69 names on one side of the termination list and 53 on the other. These foreign workers have been given a 3-month notice period that expires on December 2nd. 


This action is a part of the municipality's first phase of Kuwaitization. By July 1st 2023, there will have been many more terminations of the 33% of foreign workers in the municipality. The plan, which will start on September 1 and last until July 1, 2023, is divided into three phases.
