BANKING SECTOR IS THE LARGEST EMPLOYER OF KUWAITI WORKERS

Kuwait City: Statistics show that the banking sector is the largest employer of Kuwaiti workers in the private sector. Sheikh Ahmed Dujai Al Sabah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Banks Federation said that this is the most attractive sector for graduates looking for the best job opportunities. The banking sector is striving to fulfill the aspirations of the young community. 


The banking sector plays a major role in financing various projects and activities that provide employment opportunities to the citizens and increase the growth rate in the national economy. Al Sabah also pointed out that the average percentage of national workers in all local banks (Kuwaiti banks and branches of foreign banks) increased from 34.9 percent in 2000 to 77.3 percent at the end of the second quarter of 2022.
