USED BOOKS CAN BE DONATED TO OTHERS, UNION COOP HAS ITS OWN INITIATIVE

Dubai: The "My Book is Your Book" project announced by Union Cop to collect new and used books has been well received. In the first phase, more than 2243 books were collected in just one week.


Union Cop Happiness and Marketing Department Director Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki said. Special donation boxes have been set up for this purpose in four malls working with Union Coop. Boxes for the new project to collect books have been installed at Al Barsha Mall, Al Barsha South Mall, Al Warqa City Mall and Ittihad Mall. It has received great response from shoppers and mall visitors.

He said, "This new move is a part of Union Cop's social responsibility projects for the economically backward people who love to read books." "Aims to collect new and used books and distribute them to book lovers and readers in socially disadvantaged communities through the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage."

He also explained that in the first phase, more than 2243 titles of books in various categories were received within a week. The success of the project is due to the excellence and uniqueness of such an idea and the acceptance received by the people and the Dubai Juma Al-Majid Center for Culture and Heritage. It is hoped that thousands of books will be collected through the project which will continue till September 9. Through this, the aim is to encourage everyone, especially the new generation, to read books and after reading them, give those books to others and get the benefit of them too.
