47,022 TRAVEL BAN ORDERS ISSUED IN KUWAIT IN 2021

Kuwait City: The total number of travel bans and arrests in 2021 is estimated to reach 110,991. There has been an increase of 34,500 procedures at a rate of 45.1 percent compared to 2020. The figures were released by the Information Technology and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Justice under the leadership of Assistant Undersecretary Syed Hashim Al-Khallaf. In 2021, the number of travel ban orders rose to 47,022.


This is 42.4 percent of the total procedures. The number of orders to lift the travel ban rose to 29,158 in 2021. This is 26.3 percent of the total procedures. This is in addition to the total number of procedures, which increased from 63,580 in 2020 to 69,894 in 2021, or 9.9 percent, the report said.
