The Al-Ojairi Scientific Center has predicted that Eid Al-Fitr will fall on March 30, based on astronomical calculations. The center noted that spotting the crescent moon on March 29 will be difficult in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, as it will only be visible for eight minutes.
According to the center, the moon will rise at 1:57 p.m. on March 29 and set before the Sun in some Southeast Asian cities, making sighting impossible there. In certain Arab and Islamic regions, the crescent may be visible for four to 20 minutes, depending on geographical location. However, the official declaration of Shawwal remains under the jurisdiction of the Sharia Moon Sighting Authority.
