IN KUWAIT, 31,000 TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS DETECTED AND 96 VEHICLES IMPOUNDED IN ONE WEEK

Kuwait City: Authorities conducted traffic checks in various parts of the country. The Traffic and Operations Sector inspections were conducted under the supervision of Major General Jamal Al Sayeig, Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Traffic Affairs, Ministry of Interior, and the field supervision of General Traffic Director General, Major General Youssef Al Khadda. Officials said that a total of 31,000 violations were found.


40 cases of careless driving were reported. 96 vehicles were shifted to the detention garage. 77 minors caught for driving without driving license were referred to juvenile prosecution. At the same time, the patrolling officers of the traffic divisions of all the six governorates also conducted inspections. A total of 31,791 violations were found. 44 persons on the wanted list were arrested while 19 vehicles were seized.
