SENSITIZATION OF CANCER PATIENTS, SPECIALISED TRAINING FOR 2,254 NURSING STAFF IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The National Cancer Awareness Campaign has announced that 2,254 nursing staff will be given special training to communicate with cancer patients and their families and ensure their necessary health awareness. Oncologists have prepared an integrated program for trainees covering what cancer is, its stages and spread rates in Kuwait and the world.


The program covers methods of diagnosis and treatment and the importance of early detection and what is needed to increase the rate of recovery from it. Nursing staff are trained because they have more direct contact with patients. The program aims to enable medical staff to provide correct information about cancer diseases and provide scientific answers approved by specialized doctors.
