Kuwait City: The number of houses in various governorates of the country has reached 159,240. The number of houses is 74.76 percent of the total buildings. Figures show that there are 213,000 buildings in various governorates in Kuwait. According to data from the Public Authority for Civil Information, 140,430 houses have been earmarked for housing. 10,220 houses have housing needs along with employment system.


1,170 are set aside for employment purposes only. At the same time, the figures also show that seven thousand houses are lying vacant in the country. According to Public Corporation for Housing Welfare, 9490 applications for housing have been received. A study by the Real Estate Union showed that the area of ​​urban land under exploitation in Kuwait does not exceed eight percent.
