Kuwait City: Voluntary response and rescue teams get ready to help those in need as part of their humanitarian mission as the weather cools and camping season draws near. These quick-response teams offer roadside assistance, aid sea and desert travellers in an emergency, clean beaches, direct traffic, and assist in the search for missing personnel. All of the team members expressed their readiness to offer the required services. Mohammad Al-Hajri, the leader of Kuwait's Sqour Al-Sabah rescue team, said that his group assists in lifting vehicles that have become stuck in the desert or on the beach and aids state bodies during emergencies like the coronavirus pandemic or heavy rains.

Al-Hajri added that they have all kinds of heavy-duty equipment in their possession to further support his claim that they are prepared for such circumstances. He claimed that there are currently 30 volunteers on the team, and that they can be reached at the phone numbers posted on the team's social media pages. Al-Hajri praised the efforts of volunteer teams, saying that doing so undermines the culture of "no work without profit" and strengthens the sense of community in society. According to Rakan Al-Hamad, the head of the Kuwaiti Response and Rescue team, the idea for their team came about when they became aware of the increased costs of towing winches, which could reach KD 50, particularly in remote areas.

Al-Hamad made it clear that his team will assist with more than just vehicles; they can also aid animals, administer first aid, and organise first aid training sessions. Al-Hamad clarified that anyone who is at least 18 years old and owns a car is welcome to join the team, provided they go through an interview process and can supply the necessary tools. He went on to say that everyone who joins receives training first to prepare them for the work that lies ahead. Al-Hamad praised volunteer work as a model of a productive way to spend downtime because it benefits both young people and society at large.
