MINISTERS CONVENE TO DISCUSS RAINS AND FLOODS

Kuwait City: Dr. Amani Bouqammaz, Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity and Water, met with the Rain Committee in the presence of representatives from 15 government agencies to discuss the country's preparations for the rainy season. They explained that during the first meeting she attended with the committee, Minister Bouqammaz listened to the visions presented by the various participating government agencies.


 She emphasised the importance of ensuring the effectiveness and rate of achievement of previous solutions, as well as confirming their implementation in accordance with what was previously agreed upon. The minister also emphasised the importance of having backup plans in place to deal with emergency situations during the rainy season, as well as raising the level of alert in all relevant sectors and authorities. The Rain Committee explained in a statement that the work done to deal with any expected consequences was followed up on.
