Kuwait City: An estimated 260 million dinars have been collected for electricity and water services from the start of the fiscal year until Nov. 9, or within 7 months, according to knowledgeable sources in the Ministry of Electricity and Water. According to the sources, there has been a notable increase in government agency collection in recent months, totaling about 110 million dinars since the start of the fiscal year, with projections that the amount will double in the months to come. This increase is also due to the recent adoption of these agencies' budgets, which has sparked this trend.

Additionally, the sources claimed that more than 2000 citizens have been appointed to the ministry overall since the year's beginning. However, a number of senior officials were reportedly informed yesterday that their contracts would not be renewed, as the ministry is determined to bring in fresh talent to the various state institutions during the current period.
