RESTRICTIONS ON FOOD ITEMS FOR TRAVELERS COMING TO KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Passengers coming to Kuwait from Lebanon, Iraq and Syria are advised to ensure that they do not bring any food items. Mutlaq Al Ansi, director of the Air Cargo Department of the General Administration of Customs, stated this. Those arriving from these countries should not bring any type of food, including fresh, frozen or sweets.


Al Ansi said that he would not even look at how much it was. These measures are part of the government's precautionary efforts to prevent cholera, which is spreading in countries that have imposed restrictions, from entering Kuwait. He added that the health department has issued these instructions keeping in mind the safety of the public.
