Kuwait City: On the basis of the decisions made by the Council of Ministers during its meeting on November 7, Minister of Works Dr. Amani Bouqammaz has issued two ministerial decisions that two assistant undersecretaries' terms will not be renewed. In the two decisions, Eng. Muhammad bin Nakhi, assistant undersecretary for the ministry's construction projects sector, and Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, assistant undersecretary for the maintenance engineering sector, both had their contracts not renewed as of last April 26 and last August 15, respectively.

Meanwhile, Eng Suha Ashkanani, the acting director of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, was suspended from her duties for one month and replaced by Eng Rajaa Al-Moumen, the director of the Authority's Planning and Followup Department. This decision was made by the Ministers of Works and Electricity and Water, Dr. Amani Buqammaz.

According to knowledgeable sources, the action was taken as a result of monitoring reports that criticised the actions taken in relation to some recent Authority projects. The sources predicted that over the next few days, the authority will observe a wide range of changes at the level of executive positions in the ministry. Another development is that Mazen Al-Nahedh, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, has received a letter of resignation from Haya Al-Wadani, Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology.
