GOVERNMENT ORGANISATIONS IN KUWAIT OUGHT TO OFFER POST-SERVICE BENEFITS TO FOREIGN WORKERS

Kuwait City: Government agencies are obliged to provide expatriate employees with termination benefits. Government agencies are mandated to provide this benefit as the Ministry of Finance has amended the rules for the implementation of the public budget for the financial year 2022/2023. The Finance Ministry has amended the rules for implementation of the public budget for this financial year. 


This will require government agencies to provide non-Kuwaiti employees with post-service benefits subject to the civil service system as soon as their contract ends. The benefits are to be provided in accordance with what is stated in the contracts. Rewards are calculated in accordance with the Decisions and Executive Regulations of Decree Law No. 15 of 1979.
