Kuwait City: Kuwait was ranked 111th in the Bribery Risk Matrix in 2022, with 53 percentage points. TRACE, a business association based in the United States of America dedicated to combating all forms of corruption in finance and business, released the matrix. It uses four standard points to assess bribery risks in finance and business, and the percentage point assigned to countries indicates the level of risk. Kuwait's ranking has been declining in recent years, with the country ranking 121st in 2019, 83rd in 2020, and 95th in 2021 out of 200 countries.

Although Kuwait's ranking fell 16 places from the previous year in 2022, it remains in the'medium risk' category. Kuwait was ranked fourth in the Arab world, trailing Jordan, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which are ranked 65th, 76th, and 79th globally, respectively. The top five countries, on the other hand, are Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, and Denmark, while the bottom five are Venezuela, Syria, Equatorial Guinea, Turkmenistan, and North Korea.
