MAJORITY OF EXPATRIATES IN KUWAIT LIVE IN FARWANIYA

Kuwait City: According to the Public Authority for Civil Information data, Kuwait has a total population of roughly 4.464 million people who reside in 213 thousand buildings spread across various governorates. Of this population, 1.5 million people are Kuwaitis and 2.962 million people are foreigners. The Farwaniya Governorate, where 1.118 million Kuwaitis and expatriates live and make up about 25% of the nation's population, has the highest population density in Kuwait, according to the data. These residents live in 31.8 thousand homes and buildings. 


In Farwaniya, the average rent for investment apartments increased by about 1.4 percent in the second quarter of this year to about 326 dinars, while the average rent for private housing properties in the governorate increased by about 5.3 percent to 583 dinars, according to the most recent report from Kuwait Finance House (KFH). 

With 944.3 thousand residents, or 21.15 percent of the entire population of Kuwait, living in 48,754 thousand different types of housing, including houses and buildings, the Al-Ahmadi Governorate came in second in terms of population density. The Hawalli Governorate came in third place, with a total population of 941.43 thousand (including expatriates and Kuwaitis), or about 21.087 percent of the entire population. They reside in 33.8 thousand structures, including both houses and buildings.
