Kuwait City, Feb 27: Thirty two years after the Iraqi invasion in 1990 and subsequent liberation the following year, the Kuwait flour mills and bakeries Company commemorated the event by recreating bread from the nation's darkest period. During the invasion, Kuwaiti and foreign employees were forced to make bread with whatever ingredients were on hand by mixing flour, bran, and ground wheat. The "1990 bread bag," according to the company's CEO Mutlaq Al-Zayed, was created to commemorate Kuwait's resistance to the vicious Iraqi aggression.
