12000 US troops stationed in Kuwait

Kuwait City, March 6: An estimated 12,000 US service personnel from the Army, Navy, and Marines serve between Camp Arifjan and Boring Base. In addition to the military presence, the soldiers stationed at the base perform activities including logistical services such as food distribution, water infrastructure, power sector etc.

Conducting military exercises with Kuwait and other partner countries is another activity. Austin May, a public affairs officer at the US military base in Kuwait, said the Boring base is mainly used to provide training to deal with hazards and threats in the event of an attack, as well as to equip tanks, trucks and equipment needed to provide humanitarian aid in future conflicts or disaster situations.
