President of Consumer Protection Association: Preventing expats from entering associations- co-operative stores is against the law

Kuwait City, March 24: Some associations - co-operative stores prevented expatriates from entering shopping and purchasing various products during the holy month of Ramadan, justifying this with the fact that large numbers of shoppers flocked to and piled into the central markets and branches of these stores, and rushed to buy Ramadan goods that were sold at reduced prices.

The head of the Consumer Protection Association, Mishaal Al-Mana, considered that preventing expatriates from entering any cooperative stores and limiting shopping for products offered in its central markets to citizens is against the law.
