Dubai, April 16: Sixteen people died and nine got injured when a fire broke out at a residential building in the Al-Ras area, one of the oldest neighborhoods of Dubai, on Saturday, local media said. The blaze started around 12.30 pm on the fourth floor of the five-story building. Dubai Civil Defence stated it was brought on by a failure to adhere to building security and safety regulations. Many migrant employees and traders reside there.
