Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre has announced updates to the DARB toll system, effective September 1, 2025. The revised regulations adjust evening toll hours to 3:00 PM–7:00 PM (previously 5:00 PM–7:00 PM), while morning hours remain 7:00 AM–9:00 AM, Monday to Saturday. Sundays and public holidays stay toll-free, and the AED 4 per-pass charge remains unchanged.
The changes eliminate daily and monthly toll caps, removing the previous limits of AED 16 per day and AED 100–200 per month per vehicle. Exemptions for People of Determination, seniors, retirees, and low-income families will continue unaffected. The adjustments aim to ease congestion during extended peak hours while maintaining support for vulnerable groups.
Q Mobility, an ADQ subsidiary, will oversee the updated toll system’s implementation. The revisions align with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to optimize traffic flow, promote sustainable transport, and reduce bottlenecks during high-demand periods. Authorities emphasize the changes reflect ongoing efforts to balance road efficiency with equitable access.
