Fishermen's Union calls for deterrent solution to robbery

The head of the Kuwaiti Federation of Fishermen, Dhaher Al-Soyyan, confirmed that many fishermen in Naqaa Fahaheel and Sharq decided not to go out to the sea, because of their fear of “salaba”, and that the boats were robbed and shot at, and some of them were injured. 

Al-Soyyan appreciated the efforts of the Coast Guard, expressing the aspirations of the fishermen to intensify the checkpoints in the economic waters, to eliminate the phenomenon of pirates and robbery, and pointed out that there is a need to develop a radical and deterrent solution to this phenomenon. He called on the army and the coast guard to take more measures and tighten control to protect the economic waters.
