ADMISSION STARTED AT KUWAIT UNIVERSITY

Kuwait City: Kuwait University, the only university in the country, has admitted 9390 students. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Kuwait University Council held yesterday. Meanwhile, 1902 applications for graduate studies were rejected, university officials said. Of the 604 students who applied for the science stream, 1298 who applied in the literature category were rejected. Many students from different countries are completing their courses at Kuwait University. Professors from India and abroad are serving in the University of Kuwait.


The University was founded on November 27, 1966 by the former Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah. There are 16 colleges functioning under the University, including the Medical College. Sabah Al Salem University in Al Shaddia, newly built as part of Vision 2035, is the largest university in Asia. The University is being built by a Canadian consortium covering an area of ​​approximately 6,000,000 square meters. The 104 fountains and gardens include the Central District cooling, utility plants, various colleges, and utility service tunnels. The university also offers ample parking for over 17,000 cars.
