Kuwait City: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, Kuwait’s Criminal Security Sector, through the General Department for Drug Control, has seized nearly one million Captagon pills in a meticulously planned operation.

The arrest followed actionable intelligence about the suspect's involvement in narcotics smuggling and distribution. A swift ambush was executed, resulting in the suspect’s capture, despite his attempts to resist and hinder law enforcement officers. No injuries were reported during the arrest.

Upon further investigation at the suspect's residence, authorities discovered forged documents, confirming that the individual had illegally acquired Kuwaiti citizenship. This led to the formation of a joint task force between the Drug Control department and the Nationality Affairs Investigations Department, which has now launched formal legal proceedings into the citizenship fraud.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized its commitment to maintaining a comprehensive security strategy to combat narcotics and protect society from drug-related threats. It reiterated that decisive measures will continue against anyone endangering public safety or national security.
