Riyadh: The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has said that those who take two doses of the vaccine from Saudi Arabia can return. This will provide an opportunity for Saudi Iqama holders who have re-entered entry-restricted countries, including India, to return. The embassy tweeted that it was waiting for more information on the matter.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry has said that those who receive both doses of the vaccine from Saudi Arabia will not have to stay in another country for 14 days. This is stated in the circular sent to all embassies and consulates. The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia also confirmed the receipt of the circular.

The condition is to be 'immunized' by receiving two doses of the vaccine before leaving Saudi Arabia. The circular also states that all other corona diffusion criteria must be met. It is not clear when this permission will take effect. But all countries have to make their own decisions to start air services.

In addition to India, Saudi Arabia had direct access to 13 countries, including Pakistan, the UAE, Egypt, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, South Africa, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon and Ethiopia. The new concession will be a boon to tens of thousands of expatriates in these areas. However, those who have been vaccinated at home and those who have returned home after receiving a single dose of the vaccine cannot return to their current state.
