Riyadh/Amman: Saudi Arabia has provided $30 million in financial support to Palestine as part of its ongoing commitment to back the Palestinian Authority for 2025. The handover took place at the Saudi Embassy in Amman, where Palestinian Minister of Finance Omar Al-Bitar met with Mohammed bin Hassan Mounis, the Kingdom’s acting Chargé d’Affaires in Jordan.

Minister Al-Bitar expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s consistent political and economic support, describing the latest aid as vital for helping Palestine cope with its severe financial crisis, particularly in light of recent Israeli measures. He also conveyed the thanks and greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, recognizing the Kingdom’s steadfast advocacy for Palestinian rights and the goal of establishing an independent state.

For his part, Mounis reaffirmed that this latest payment underlines the Kingdom’s dedication to helping the Palestinian government meet its financial obligations, easing the economic burden on the Palestinian people, and supporting their social and humanitarian resilience.

Saudi Arabia has provided more than $5.3 billion in humanitarian, relief, and development assistance to Palestine in recent years, demonstrating its continuous commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and defending their legitimate rights.
