EMBASSY OF INDIA HOSTS INDIA-KUWAIT SOLAR ENERGY FORUM

Kuwait City: The Embassy of India has organized the India-Kuwait Solar Energy Forum to promote cooperation between India and Kuwait in the field of solar and renewable energy. This was followed by a discussion on opening up the full potential of India-Kuwait solar energy cooperation. The event was held at the Indian Embassy Auditorium.


Ambassador Sibi George inaugurated the function. He said India and Kuwait have had strong ties for decades. India - Kuwait Solar Energy Forum is very important. It is also a key component of the long-term partnership between the two countries. He added that it is also being organized with a view to the future.

International Solar Alliance (ISA) Director General Dr. Ajay Mathur delivered the keynote address, Dr. Mohammad Al Ramadan, Deputy Director General of Strategy, Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), CII National Committee Vice Chairman Shri Parag Sharma (Atmanirbhar Bharat - Founder and CEO, OE Power), Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi (Adviser to the Ministry of Renewable Energy (MNRE)); Dr. Ayman Al-Khattan (Renewable Energy Program Manager, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research), Mr. Narinder Mohan Gupta CGM (International Business) NTPC Ltd. Mohammed Sadeki Senior Advisor Engineering Kuwait Fund KFAED, Shri. Dr. Saransh Roy, Invest India Specialist, Yasser Abdul Rahim Kuwait Managing Director; University Semiconductor Research, Shri. Ravi Verma, Head of Strategic Affairs, India. Shri. Pratik Desai, Chief Executive, Larsen & Toubro attended the panel discussion.
