CROWN PRINCE OF ABU DHABI VISITED THOSE BROUGHT TO UAE FROM AFGHANISTAN

Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited those brought to the UAE from Afghanistan.


Sheikh Mohammed and his entourage visited the Emirates Humanitarian City in Abu Dhabi, where they are staying temporarily. Sheikh Mohammed assessed the facilities provided to the families from Afghanistan. Officials explained the arrangements at the Emirates Humanitarian City to Sheikh Mohammed. Those deported from Afghanistan to the United States or to other countries under US supervision are temporarily housed in the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by US officials on the procedures for transporting them to other countries. He directed the officials to provide all facilities and assistance to the guests of the UAE and ensure their welfare.

He said they would also be provided with the necessary supplies for their continued journey. He added that the UAE would remain a center of assistance and support in times of crisis.
