The UAE is experiencing a noticeable drop in temperatures as its winter season intensifies. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported today's lowest temperature at 9.8°C, recorded in Raknah, Al Ain at 6:30 AM.

This current chill remains significantly warmer than the country's all-time record low of -5.7°C, which was measured at Jebel Jais mountain in Ras Al Khaimah in February 2017. The lowest temperature recorded this year prior to today was 1.9°C at Jebel Jais on January 4th.

The UAE's winter season typically runs from November through March, providing relief from the intense summer heat. During this period, daytime temperatures across most regions usually range between 15°C and 25°C. The current temperature decline is part of the country's normal seasonal weather pattern.
