EIGHT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ARRESTED FOR TRYING TO SMUGGLE DRUGS INTO OMAN

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police have arrested eight people for trying to smuggle drugs into Oman. The action was taken by the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substance Control Unit and the Coast Guard Police Command. Eight people were arrested in two separate incidents. All those arrested were entering the country illegally. They brought a large stock of drugs to Oman in two fishing boats.


More than 80 kilograms of crystal and 68 kilograms of hashish were seized. The Royal Oman Police said in a statement that legal action had been taken against those arrested.
