Muscat: Oman has officially announced the Eid al-Fitr holiday for both government and private sector employees. According to the Omani Ministry of Labor, the holiday will begin on March 29.
If Eid falls on Sunday, March 30, the public holiday will extend until Tuesday, April 1. However, if Eid is observed on Monday, March 31, the holiday will continue until Thursday, April 3. The final holiday schedule will be determined based on the official sighting of the moon.
The Ministry of Labor has also stated that employees may be required to work during the holiday if necessary, as per regulations. This announcement allows organizations and individuals to plan their Eid celebrations accordingly.
