COULD NOT RETURN FROM ABROAD, RESIDENCE PERMITS FOR 3,90,000 EXPATRIATES IN KUWAIT REVOKED

Kuwait City: 3,90,000 expatriates in Kuwait have had their residence permits revoked due to their inability to return from abroad. Those who went home could not return because the airports were closed due to the Covid epidemic.

The reason for the loss of residency permits is that the sponsors failed to renew their residence documents at this time. At the same time, it is estimated that 1.5 million expatriates are currently living in Kuwait illegally.

Local media in Kuwait quoted official sources as saying that there were no plans to give them another chance to correct the documents. As airports reopen and life returns to normal, there will be no more concessions and the government is moving to arrest and deport offenders.
