Kuwait City: The European Union has listed Kuwait, Chile and Rwanda as safe countries. The ban was lifted a year later following the outbreak of covid. Earlier, visas were issued to travelers from the US, Serbia, Albania, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, New Zealand, the Republic of North Macedonia, Singapore, Australia, Thailand and China.

The decision was taken in view of the situation in covid in different countries and it has been suggested that travelers to Europe should strictly adhere to covid regulations. Tourists are required to bring the RTPCR test result 72 hours in advance. EU countries can offer a 14 - day quarantine to tourists.

At a meeting of the European Union in June last year, it was decided that the exemptions would be granted in stages. The EU has made it clear that member states do not have to accept the EU proposal in its entirety and that countries can make their own decisions on the issue.
