FIVE PERCENT TAX FOR EXPATRIATES, MP WITH PROPOSAL

  • 14/10/2021

Kuwait City: MP Osama Al Menawar has proposed a 5 percent income tax on expatriates. We need to come up with a law for this. The MP's explanatory note said that the tax was proposed for the financial security of the country.

Those who decide to stay and work in the country can be taxed in parallel to the full range of services provided. The population problems facing the country must be taken into consideration.

It is sufficient to levy a tax of five per cent so as not to affect the residents further. The MP explains that those whose monthly salary is less than 350 dinars can be exempted from this.
