RENEWAL OF WORK PERMIT FOR PERSON ABOVE 60 IN KUWAIT, CRUCIAL DECISION LIKELY TO BE MADE ON WEDNESDAY

Kuwait City: The decision not to renew the work permits of those over 60 who do not have a university degree may be revoked on Wednesday. A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Manpower Authority will convene on Wednesday to resolve the issue, chaired by Commerce Minister Dr Abdullah Al Salman. 


Sources said the decision not to renew work permits for those over the age of 60 who do not have a university degree, which the fatwa and legislation has made illegal, will be revoked. At the same time, the meeting will discuss the proposal to introduce a fee of 250 dinars and health insurance to renew a work permit.
