REPLACEMENT TICKETS ON AIR INDIA FLIGHTS WILL EXPIRE IN DECEMBER

Abu Dhabi: Tickets for Air India and Air India Express flights canceled during the Covid period will expire on December 31. It is only necessary to pay the difference in the ticket amount for the duration of the journey.

You will not be able to travel later with these tickets after the deadline. However, those who have received a travel voucher will be given an extension on request. Authorities said they would approach the airlines for this.

Airline officials said those who were unable to travel within this day could extend the deadline by sending an email to customer support. If you go with this ticket in December and return in January, you can solve the problem by sending a letter to the airline.

In case of cancellation of the ticket, cancellation fee will be charged and the balance will be refunded. Private airlines also exchanged tickets or issued travel vouchers to the requested sector so that they could be used for a period of one year. Those who canceled were refunded. At the same time, passengers complain that some travel agencies do not refund.

Passengers complained that they were told that the money had not been received from the airline and that it had expired. Some other travel agencies and online sites also disappeared during the Covid period, leading to a loss of money. It is learned that 15% of the people are still waiting for the ticket price.

The airline officials explained that the money was refunded to the account taken directly by the individuals and to the account of the agency, if not through the travel agency.

If the agency refuses, they will contact the airline office directly by email (customersupport@airindiaexpress.in, contactus@airindia.in) with a copy of the ticket and will be notified of the status.
