Dubai’s private education sector will grow significantly in the 2025–26 academic year with the addition of 25 new institutions, including 6 private schools, 16 early childhood centers (ECCs), and 3 international universities. This expansion will provide over 11,700 new school seats and accommodate more than 2,400 young children in ECCs, offering families diverse curricular choices and reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a premier global education destination.
Among the new schools, five will follow the UK curriculum and one the French curriculum. Key additions include GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Sports City, Dubai British School Mira, and Lycée Français International School in Mudon. The ECCs will offer varied early learning approaches, with 11 adopting the UK Early Years Foundation Stage, three the Creative Curriculum, and one each following Montessori and Maple Bear methodologies.
Dubai’s higher education landscape will also welcome three prestigious institutions: IIM Ahmedabad (ranked 27th globally for Business), the American University of Beirut (ranked 237th worldwide), and Saudi Arabia’s Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences. These additions align with Dubai’s Education 33 Strategy (E33), aimed at providing high-quality, diverse learning opportunities at all stages.
Aisha Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), emphasized that this growth reflects strong investor confidence and supports Dubai’s long-term economic and social goals. The emirate now hosts 331 ECCs, 233 private schools, and 44 higher education institutions, solidifying its role as an innovative and inclusive education hub.
