KUWAIT COURT SENTENCES WOMAN TO DEATH FOR KILLING HUSBAND

Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti woman has been sentenced to death by a criminal court for killing his husband with a hammer and sharp tools. The court, headed by Councilor Hazel al-Shammari, decided yesterday to commute the life sentence imposed on the citizen and order the execution. The prosecution argued that the accused woman had deliberately killed her husband.


Prosecution said she beat her husband several times with a hammer and a sharp knife. However, the accused denied all these allegations. 

Meanwhile, a criminal court has sentenced a man to eight years in prison with hard labor for possession of drugs and driving while intoxicated, leading to the death of three people, including an unborn child. The verdict was handed down by Councilor Mutaib al-Ardi. The verdict came in the wake of the death of a Kuwaiti citizen and his daughter's unborn child while driving under the influence of drugs.
