MOH ISSUED WARNING AGAINST PROMOTING USE OF HERBAL PRODUCTS IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health has issued a warning against promoting the use of herbal products for the treatment of chronic diseases. The ministry's intervention comes amid a campaign to promote the benefits of herbal products and nutritional supplements, including on social media. The Ministry of Health has warned against using such drugs.


The ministry said such methods were not scientifically proven and that no medicine should be used without a doctor's prescription. The ministry also monitors the marketing of medical products, including medicines. The Ministry of Health has stated that it will take legal action if it considers the marketing of products that are not registered and approved by the Ministry of Health.
