SEVERAL ROADS IN KUWAIT ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF MAINTENANCE

Kuwait City: According to Ministry of Public Works sources, many roads in various governorates and localities require urgent maintenance in general. The ministry has devised a strategy to address these streets and roads, and will begin implementing it once the necessary budget is obtained from the Ministry of Finance. They explained in a news release that some of these roads are the internal and main roads in the Hawally area, which are in desperate need of maintenance, especially since the last maintenance was done in 2006 for various areas of the Hawally area.

The roads in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate's Sabah Al-Salem area are in good condition, since asphalt maintenance was performed on all internal and main routes in the area as part of the governorate's current contract. According to the sources, "there is currently no maintenance contract for the Mahboula area in the Ahmadi Governorate, despite the area's poor infrastructure and the need for rehabilitation and asphalting of the main and internal roads." The area is included in the maintenance engineering sector's five-year plan, and the plan will be implemented if the necessary budget is available."
