CALL TO CHECK THE VALIDITY OF E-PASSPORTS, SOME ARE ABOUT TO EXPIRE

Kuwait City: The Citizenship and Passports General Department of the Interior Ministry has recommended residents to check the validity of their passports; because the e-passport was issued approximately five years ago, some passports will expire soon. Citizens aged 21 and older can renew their passports online on the ministry's website, and they can select the location of delivery when submitting the passport renewal form. Those under the age of 21 can, on the other hand, renew their passports through citizen service centres or the department. 


The electronic passport was one of the major projects introduced in 2017, and it is widely regarded as the most secure in terms of accuracy, security, and the difficulty of forging the document. The data page of the passport is contained within an automated chip that is impenetrable to alteration. This is in addition to the automatic thumbprint and electronic signature, and the passport holder's portrait is plainly visible on three consecutive pages.
