Kuwait City: The Insurance Regulatory Group decided to regulate the method for issuing KD 500 insurance to non-graduate expats over the age of 60. The entire insurance fee is KD 503.5 (Documentation is KD 2.5, and supervision and office work is 1 KD).

The coverage covers annual total treatment expenditures of 10,000 dinars, with a maximum benefit of 8,000 dinars for treatment and accommodation in a hospital, 1500 dinars for treatment in outpatient clinics, and 500 dinars for routine dental care.

More than 20 insurance businesses are available in the local market; the names of these companies will be released after the list is authorised; eight companies are already listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Any health insurance policy offered to this group (non graduate expats over 60 years old) by companies other than approved companies will not be accepted for work permit renewal or transfer within the private sector. The companies that issue health insurance must be Kuwaiti shareholding companies that are licenced to carry out insurance operations.
